Woa we have been slack on the posting front recently! Thanks to everyone who has been visiting us nonetheless; apologies there wasn’t any thing new for a while.
So, what have we been up to?… well since that ill-fated Chilham walk, we visited Brighton and did a nice circular incorporating Chanctonbury and Cissbury hills; good views, great weather and I do believe we didn’t get lost once!! On the down side, 3 out of 4 of us were ill for the next few days; not sure if it was food poisoning or a bug, but more walking was off the menu for a while.
We also visited the big Cotswolds near Maidstone and got Sid some waterproof trousers; we must have everything we need by now!?!
Then last weekend it was off to Latitude festival in Suffolk! We had a fab weekend chilling, listening to great music (mostly) sampling interesting foods (including curried goat) and generally lying around. We did a fair amount of walking, but it was of the meandering kind rather than hiking!
Its a busy time of year for us, with a wedding this weekend and then the Big Chill festival next week. Obviously there’s not much time to fit walks in, but we’re keeping our fitness up with near-daily trips to the gym and will look for a chance to break out those boots again soon, after all, it’s less than a month to go!!!! yeah!
